(to upload a youtube video go to the video on youtube and copy the section that says EMBED and paste it directly into the test area of the post)(if you have a video on your computer - something you may have filmed - go to the last icon at the top and follow the instructions)
(to add a picture go to the 2nd last icon and follow the instructions)
Once you have finished adding and writing to your post, just click on the 'Preview' button at the top (under compose). This will give you an idea of what it will look like once it is posted for everyone to see. You can then make any changes you want.
That should give you a basic idea of some of the things you can do with this.
